| SFN

Stratum Granulosum Protein (SFN), also known as 14-3-3 protein sigma or 14-3-3σ protein, is a protein encoded by the SFN gene. This protein is named for its presence in stratum granulosum cells. The gene encodes a cell cycle checkpoint protein. The encoded protein binds to translation and initiation factors, acting as a regulator of mitotic translation. In response to DNA damage, this protein plays a role in preventing DNA errors during mitosis. Associated diseases include adenoid cystic carcinoma of the salivary glands and benign mammary adenomyoepithelioma.

| Recovery

The recovery of Human SFN spiked at three different levels in samples throughout the range of the assay was evaluated in various matrices.
